Hugebigmassive are great lost indie (madchester) band from Leicester. Formed by charismatic frontman Andrew Sharman (vocals), Karl Traae (bass), Stuart Simpson (guitar) and Kevin Tucker (drums). They released two singles for Tasty Records: Who Wants More EP (1991) and Out Of My Mind EP (1992).

excelent tracks))))(((
thanks brother!
Became familiar with this band through the scene in Leicester in the early 90's before sharing a manager with them. Good lads, lots of people - NME included - didn't get their humour. Great tunes, funny lyrics, Kev became an actor (in Corrie for a bit I think). I've got an early tape knocking about somewhere.
Thanks Jakey for info, great band with great tunes, any chance of ripping that early tape into mp3.
Hi
Thanks for the tracks, have emailed you on the email on your profile.

Hi
very good single!! Any chance to reup the "Out Of My Mind EP".
Cheers
Great lads from Leicester . Their gigs, particularly at The Princess Charlotte were always great and with lots of humour. Had a few tapes myself . I'll see if i can find them.
Thanks for the info about Hugebigmassive. I have only one tape "The Good, The Bad And The Slightly Shop Soiled".
If you find your tapes please send me info about titles, tracklisting, anything that will help me to find and learn more about this great band.

I vaguely remember this band playing the Jericho Tavern, where I virtually lived in the very early 1990s. It was the indie venue in Oxford.
Hi Ricky, what you have put together with regards to Hugebigmassive is full-on excellent!! It has been a pleasure to see all these old recordings compiled on one page. I actually wrote half these songs, Andy Sharman, the other half. However, I don't even have copies of the old tapes so if you're able to share a working link to 'Shopsoiled' and 'Elvis' I'd really appreciate it. With regards to the formation of 'Hugebigmassive', it wasn't actually Andy who was responsible for this. HBM came out of the ashes of a Leicester band called 'Sister Crow' which was formed by a load of mates, me and Andy, as well as Karl Traae, Andy Kent and Rob Gray (RIP). HBM were a 3 piece for a while until Kev Tucker joined us. HBM split in 1993 and there's quite a bit of history between then and now, with Andy forming 'The Charmers' with Geoff Chandler, 'Sourpus' and currently 'Producty' and then me going to San Diego to join 'Whirl', returning to the UK to form 'Minithin', and then having a career as a digital artist, and now involved in my own thing called 'Run Young Freud'. Karl Traae joined 'Perfume' and is currently involved in 'Longtooth and Wasterman'. Kev on the other hand became an actor. As I say, the whole blog and database is excellent. I was also pleased so see a number of bands we played with from the early 1990's mentioned in the blog, 'The Sandkings', '1000 Yard Stare', 'Dodgy', 'Ocean Colour Scene'. Thanks again, all the best, Stuart
Hi Stuart,
Thanks for visiting my blog and your comment, it's always a pleasure to see a band member on the blog. Very long time i was looking for someone to tell me full story about Hugebigmassive, now i'm fully satisfied.
I loved your music immediately after i've heard "Out Of My Mind" and "Who Wants More" singles. I remember that someone recommended your band to me, many years ago.
After that i've started searching for more material, most of the bands from early 90's period have rare demo tapes, unreleased tracks, and with great help from people on the blog, i received three demo tapes, including "Shopsoiled" and "Elvis", both are posted on the blog, i must check if links still works or i need to reupload again.
Did you recorded anything else, demos, tracks that are not included on singles or maybe you have material from unreleased album ?
All the best, Ricky
Could you re up the hugebigmassive stuff when you get a chance .
