Huge thanks goes to "momo" for sending me copy of this ultra rare album by Smalltown Parade.
Thanks for your great blog - been checking it for a few years now - Any chance of posting this album again as I have been looking for a copy for years
Thanks, Ricky.
I used to love Smalltown Parade, especially And We Dance On, which was a cool baggy tune.
I saw them play at the Borderline, probably around 1990/91, on a Friday night. Set us up nicely for a night of swishing round in our flares and timberlands on the dancefloor in the indie-dance club Bedrock, which was just around the corner from the Borderline. Happy days.
Thanks for your blog - I've only recently discovered it, but it's been a real treasure trove. Some stuff I've got, but loads that I haven't - and even more exciting, some stuff I'd never heard of before.
Cheers.

Actually, I just had a look and I've got the And We Dance On single, if that's any good to you and your blog? It's got 3 tracks (2 which are on the album, but one that it isn't - The Sunday Way Of Life).
It's strange though, because on this single the band were calling themselves Small Town Parade (3 words instead of the 2 on the album).
Woody,
thats great news, i need And We Dance On single, i'm looking very long time for a copy. That track The Sunday Way Of Life was released as 7" single in 1990. I think this was their debut single, interesting is that b-side track is called Small Town Parade.
Hello again,
No, the b-side isn't called Small Town Parade, what I meant was that the 'Small Town' part of the band's name seems to be two words on this single, as opposed to the one word, 'Smalltown' that they seemed to use later on.
Anyway, grammatics aside, how can I get the single over to you? Maybe I could email it if you've got an email you can give me?
Cheers.
Woody,
you can send me And We Dance On tracks to my email:

That is interesting, though I wonder if it's a typo? I've never come across a STP track called STP before.
OK, I'll get that over to you asap, but it'll probably be the weekend.
This is the CD single I've got:

Nope, looks like you're right and I'm wrong, Ricky. Did some digging around and they did have a track called Small Town Parade:
