This is amazing, what an incredible achievement getting this all together.
I thank you very much, looking forward to listening to it!
Excellent!! thanks so much, can't wait to listen.
Wow. Respect!
You sir are a legend. Thanks a million times, beautiful stuff :)
Greta stuff, thank you
thanks for this but...
... is this really an unreleased LP? if so, i can see why it got dumped. b-side fodder.
For me it's great & beautiful stuff, i see here 2-3 tracks that could be easily released as singles, maybe for you it's b-side compilation, no need to be sooo disappointed, everybody have different taste for music. I know that it's not good as "Morning Dove White" and it's not produced by Andrew Weatherall, simply i'm enjoying this new material.
The only thing that matters at the moment is that band recorded these tracks before more than 20 years and now we have chance to listen this unreleased material. And i know that there are more unreleased tracks that i'll keep on searching and try to bring here on the blog.
This is great man, thank you. What year were they trying to release this? 1994?
You deserve a medal of honor. Thank you.
Not sure when they recorded these tracks, maybe 1994 or 1995, album was titled "Moon Angel - Morning Dove Red (Second Album Recording Sessions)", not info about year of recording or release.
I found only this info on wikipedia: "the group expanded to a five-piece with the addition of Ed Higgins on percussion and Colin McIlroy on guitar, and showcased a more heavily dub-influenced sound. This line-up later went into the studio to begin work on a second album, but frustrated by record industry politics, split up midway through the sessions"
Wow
i knew i'd get a kicking for saying i didn't think this was ver good but i did say THANKYOU. of course i'm chuffed i've heard it... the same goes for things i've heard by My Jealous God, The High, Paris Angels... sometimes there's a good reason things get shut away. Again, it's great to hear these songs but they'd surely not have aided their (great) reputation had they been released at the time. maybe if william orbit had been let loose on these lo-fi demos with £50 drum machines.... but AGAIN great to hear. Thanks
Incredible. What a 'lost' treasure. Thanks, Ricky!
Could you re-up tracks 06-10. The link is broken.
;)
hello,
a re-up of tracks 6-10 would be great! fingers crossed.
I'm not even a fan of OD but all credit to you for putting this together. What a hero.
Thanks very much! ;)
