Love your blog. Been checking it for years now.
I just wanted to relay an anecdote.. This post reminded me of what I found in my Brooklyn neighborhood, about 2 weeks ago. Some middle-aged hippie guy on the street. selling crates of records. Dollar apiece! What really struck me was the condition of all the vinyl and sleeves ; Frighteningly mint. They all look like they came "direct from the pressing plant" -yeah. that sort of mint. This baffled me.. all these 90's, Irish indie rock records...and practically being given away.
I got 5 Power Of Dreams 12 inches. A Fat Lady Sings album. 4 Into Paradise records.... A Puressence 12''
I really would want to know! How and why? did they get there, to those crates on that street... in 2014. and in such perfect shape?
I also got the first "Counterfeit" LP by Martin L. Gore. Almost never see that one on vinyl.
It's crazy. One man's trash truly is.. a wiser man's treasure.
