The Relations - Patrick

THE RELATIONS

Patrick

1989 Stairwell Recordings

Notes :

One of my latest discoveries, The Relations - late 80's indie rock band from Perth, Scotland.

Band members were: Gerry Harper (vocals), Kelly McCormick (guitar & vocals), Vincent Stewart (bass) and Neil McCormick (drums).

They released three singles: Big Man Shoes 7'', Brainwashed And Blowdried 7'', Purple Haze (12'' white label promo).

Their debut and only album ''Patrick'' was released in 1989 for Stairwell Recordings. Great album, one of my most played records in the last two weeks.

Notes :

My priority on the blog in 2022 will be to find and post as much as possible, hard to find records that are very long time on my Wanted Records list. I will also need your help to complete this mission.

If you have any of the records from the list, please leave comment or send email to: evibes72@yahoo.com

In the next few days i'm posting latest records from my list that i received by email before New Year.

Huge thanks to Dave for sending top quality vinyl rips of Langfield Crane and Blammo records.

It's great to have Langfield Crane singles on the blog, i discovered this obscure band before few years on youtube. I received so many tracks from Blammo, i'm posting their singles in the next few weeks.

P.S. Someone left comment that he purchased Korova Milk Bar and 3 Men Gone Mad singles that are one of my most wanted records for my blog. I hope that i will receive mp3's soon, so i can post them on the blog and complete these bands discography.

The Mighty Lemon Drops - Fall Down (Like The Rain)

THE MIGHTY LEMON DROPS
Fall Down (Like The Rain)
1988 Blue Guitar Records

Formed in Wolverhampton, England in 1985, the Mighty Lemon Drops' psychedelic post-punk pop earned the group frequent comparisons to Echo & the Bunnymen. The quartet, which consisted of vocalist Paul Marsh, guitarist David Newton, bassist Tony Linehan and drummer Keith Rowley, debuted in 1986 with Happy Head, followed a year later by Out of Hand. After 1988's World Without End, the Mighty Lemon Drops set about recording 1989's Laughter; during sessions for the LP, Linehan quit the band, and was replaced by bassist Marcus Williams, who remained with the group throughout their final two studio efforts, 1991's Sound and 1992's Ricochet. All the Way, an album of demos and live recordings from a show in Cincinnati, was released in 1993, following the group's dissolution; Newton went on to form a new group, Revolux, in Los Angeles.
