Manchester-based group which was responsible for several dancefloor hits in the early 1990's. The three met in school and later became regular patrons at the Fac 51 Hacienda. Determined to make a record that would get them on the guestlist at the famous club, they recorded their hit "Space Face" and pressed it up using money from their mothers, later signing it to Ten Records. Ten dropped them soon after and they re-signed with Rob Gretton's new label, Rob's Records. They broke the UK Top 10 in 1993 with the single "Ain't No Love (Ain't No Use)". A couple years later, a studio fire destroyed most of their equipment and spurred them to start afresh as Doves.

Natural Life were an English band of the early 1990s that are best described as a 'bohemian rock collective', their music being a combination of rock influences and dancefloor beats.
They emerged from London's Balearic dance movement and were quickly caught up in a bidding war between the major record labels. Their early gigs listed venues such as Danny Rampling’s fledgling 'Milk Bar' and 'Eat The Worm' at the Hannover Grand, where they were supported by the then unknown Ocean Colour Scene. They were the only London based band to play 'Factory Day' at 'Cities in the Park’ with The Happy Mondays, Electronic and A Certain Ratio. This almost exclusively Mancunian mini-festival was a memorial festival for the recently deceased Martin Hannett run by Factory Records.
The band were signed to an offshoot of Hollywood Records called Tr1be Records. They toured extensively with indie dance act The Farm and provided support for Seal on his UK tour.
The band's first single "Strange World" was voted 'record of the week' by BBC Radio 1. The second single "Natural Life" received the same accolade two weeks running. Although the band enjoyed a large UK following and were regulars on the festival circuit playing at both the Glastonbury and Reading festivals that year, they never managed to break into the mainstream.

Yet another victim in the misplaced hype of British music journalists, the Bardots formed in Norwich, England in 1989. Simon Dunford (guitar/vocals), Andy Murphy (guitar), Steve Cox (bass), and Neil Cox (drums) had begun playing together in university and in 1990 released their debut single, Sofaelaine, a flexi-disc release. After their first more “official” single, Sad Anne, the band added a fifth member (Krzysztof Fijalkowski on guitar) and got a deal with Cheree Records. Their debut full-length, Eye Baby, got some underground support, and the British music press dubbed them a “next big thing. ” In 1994, with Murphy no longer with the band (replaced by Yves Altana), their long-awaited follow-up, V-Neck, appeared. The album failed to make an impact, and the group faded away.
